Full-Stack Development
End-to-end product work — from data model to fast, accessible interfaces.
I design and build scalable web applications and the AI-powered features that make them smarter from MongoDB's internal platforms to the GenAI that powers them.
I'm a senior software engineer who builds scalable web applications and the AI-powered features that make them smarter, currently leading backend work on MongoDB's internal tools.
My path started early as a builder: in 2014 I founded Vita Solutions, a proptech platform to modernize online land sales, leading a ~20-person team as CFO. Over the decade since, I've grown into a senior backend engineer at MongoDB, where I lead a backend pod and architect the microservices behind tools used across Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support. The throughline has never been a particular framework — it's a way of working: reduce a messy problem to its essential constraints, design for the failure modes, and leave the system simpler than I found it.
I migrated legacy applications to modern, event-driven infrastructure — improving system efficiency by up to 50% and cutting infrastructure cost. Lately my focus is bringing GenAI into these products thoughtfully, with feedback loops that keep the answers accurate and genuinely useful.

Bringing GenAI into products used across MongoDB teams.
Eight disciplines I've shipped in production, not just experimented with.
End-to-end product work — from data model to fast, accessible interfaces.
Reliable services and APIs built for correctness, performance, and scale.
Bringing GenAI into customer-facing tools — intelligent answers with feedback loops.
CI/CD pipelines, containerized deploys, and cost-aware cloud architecture.
RESTful, event-driven services designed for maintainability and reuse.
Modeling, query optimization, and real-time data across MongoDB.
Confidence through unit and end-to-end coverage, plus rigorous reviews.
Leading a backend pod — mentoring, architecture, and best practices.
A platform I founded to modernize how land is bought and sold online — giving real-estate agents a single place to list, market, and sell parcels. It unified onboarding, mapping and geographic visualization, document management, lead generation, and buyer engagement, turning a fragmented, paperwork-heavy process into something as simple as e-commerce. I led a ~20-person team as CFO and shipped ahead of schedule.
A web app that streamlines customer context-sharing across MongoDB's Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support teams. Augmented with GenAI to deliver intelligent answers to customer queries — with a feedback loop that continuously sharpens accuracy — while reducing dependency on Salesforce Lightning.
The primary bridge between customers and engineers — case logging, engineer interactions, and issue resolution. Enhanced with GenAI for intelligent response suggestions and troubleshooting assistance.
Automates the Flex Consulting scheduling process for the Professional Services team — cutting manual coordination and scaling bookings across calendars and Zoom.
A real-time dashboard giving Support Managers the critical insights they need to respond swiftly to urgent issues — built on live MongoDB data with D3 visualizations.
An ever-evolving home lab on Raspberry Pi — smart-home automation for lighting, climate, and security, plus a self-hosted server running Pi-hole, Home Assistant, and personal cloud storage. Dockerized services and Kubernetes experiments keep it a playground for learning.
Ten years — from founding a proptech startup to senior backend engineering at MongoDB.
The work compounds when it makes a whole organization faster.
Architecting scalable, event-driven microservices and steering the backend pod's technical direction.
Growing engineers through rigorous code reviews, system-design discussions, and a culture of knowledge sharing.
Bringing GenAI into customer-facing tools responsibly — with feedback loops that keep answers accurate and useful.
Lessons from adding intelligent responses to customer-facing tools — and the feedback loops that keep them accurate.

Mitesh's debugging skills are top-notch — methodical and decisive. In an outage or critical bug, he's the developer you want by your side: focused, finds the root cause, and implements the fix.
Mitesh quickly learned new concepts and languages, and his work had a significant positive impact on the Technical Services Team. Great skills for teamwork — local and remote — with attention to detail and early delivery.
Mitesh learned Python very quickly and produced very good quality code. Adaptive, organised, details-focused — and always does the research before asking for help.
Mitesh would be a great addition to any software engineering team. His new features and tools greatly helped the Support team — and he has a great balance between asking for help and doing his homework.
A problem solver, hard worker, and technology-agnostic. Mitesh adapts to any situation and understands business complexities — always one of my key people for technical guidance.
Proactive, smart, responsible, and technically sound. Mitesh gets things done within allocated time. Exceptional knowledge of databases and programming languages.
